The deadly coronavirus has affected more than 100 people in Hong Kong with more than 6,000 buildings under quarantine. Recently there were reports that even legendary star, Jackie Chan has been quarantined for the same but the 65-year-old star clarified that the rumours are false and also thanked his fans for showing their concern about his health.
The actor shared a statement, which reads, “Recently, my staff told me about the news that’s been circulating around the world, saying that I’ve been placed under quarantine for COVID-19. Firstly, I’d like to take this opportunity to say ‘thank you’ for everybody’s concern! I’m very healthy and safe, and haven’t been quarantined.”

Jackie added, “I’ve received many messages from friends asking if I’m ok. Your love and concern is so heartwarming. Thank you! I’ve also received some very special gifts from fans all over the world during this very difficult time. Thank you for the face masks.”
He also spread a positive message that with the help of technology people will soon come out with a solution against this virus. “Science and technology is key to overcoming the virus, and I believe many people have the same thought as me and hope that an antidote can be developed as soon as possible. I have a ‘naive’ idea now. No matter which individual or organization develops the antidote, I want to thank them with 1 million yuan,” he said.
The actor has earlier worked with Indian actors like Sonu Sood, Disha Patani and Mallika Sherawat in films like Kung Fu Yoga and The Myth. Jackie Chan will be next seen in The Iron Mask along with Arnold Schwarzenegger, which is set to hit the screens on April 10. It a sequel to the 2014 Russian-Chinese fantasy film Viy.
