After churning out underwhelming films like Padi Padi Leche Manasu and NGK, Sai Pallavi has moved on to her next venture, Virata Parvam 1992. Directed by Venu Udugula, the film features Rana Daggubati, Nandita Das and Priyamani in prominent roles.
Sai Pallavi’s new look from Virata Parvam 1992 has found its way to the Internet. A video of the Maari 2 actress has been doing the rounds on social media. In the video, she is seen dressed in a half-saree and is seated in what seems like a bus stop.
It looks like Pallavi hails from a middle-class background as she makes way to the bus. From the leaked clipping, it is clear that the film is being shot at real locations as opposed to a set.
In an earlier interview to New Indian Express, a source said, “Sai Pallavi will be seen as a poor girl who gets depressed due to love failure and becomes a Naxalite. The story is layered with socio-political commentary and the narration is full of heart-wrenching scenes that you empathise with these characters.”
The shooting of Virata Parvam 1992 is currently underway in Parkal, Warrangal and portions involving Sai Pallavi are being shot in the ongoing schedule. The story of the film is set in the 1990s with Rana Daggubati playing the role of a Naxalite leader.
Sources close to the team of Virata Parvam 1992 reveal that the film is about a face-off between the government and the Naxalite group. Currently, Rana Daggubati is in the US overseeing the pre-production work of period film Hiranyakashyapa.
