We have heard a lot of superstitions that people believe here in India and abroad as well. Some of these superstitions are so weird and bizarre that they make us wonder as to why people believe or follow these in the first place. But it is something that we cannot control. Wondering why we are talking about superstitions? Well, in the next few days, we will be witnessing The Zoya Factor featuring Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Dulquer Salmaan and Angad Bedi, wherein luck has an important part to play. The film primarily revolves around the life of a Rajput girl, Zoya Solanki, who meets the Indian cricket team through her job as an executive in an advertising agency and ends up becoming a lucky charm for the team at the Cricket World Cup.
A few days ago, when we met The Zoya Factor stars Dulquer Salmaan and Sonam Kapor Ahuja for an exclusive chat, we asked them about the superstitions that they follow while working on their films and some bizarre superstitions that they have heard of. In conversation with us, Dulquer Salmaan, the superstar of Mollywood, revealed that he doesn’t watch any of his films until they are completely ready. Ask him the reason, DQ answers, “I like to see my film once it is completely ready. A lot of times, we are called for first cut and second cuts, then I start losing my judgement- I think what if I like the other cut more, I can’t gauge. So I am like, once it is locked, then only I will watch it.”
Not just DQ but the Sonam Kapoor also shared the one superstition that she follows while working on her movies. “There’s one thing that I do. I never stand and dub. I always sit and dub. Yes, that is a superstition. Because every time when I stand and dub, my film doesn’t do well.” Further, when asked as to how did she dub for The Zoya Factor, Sonam asserted that she sat and dubbed for a few scenes.
