Bunty Sajdeh, CEO of Cornerstone, is being questioned by the CBI for the second time in connection with Sushant Singh Rajput death case. Cornerstone is a talent management company where Sushant Singh Rajput had an account. Bunty Sajdeh will be asked about the details of Sushant Singh Rajput’s earnings through the projects offered to him by Cornerstone.
There were various projects, such as commercials, events etc, offered to Sushant Singh Rajput by Cornerstone. Sajdeh could give details about the work he provided to the late actor through the company. Bunty Sajdeh is Sohail Khan’s brother-in-law. In 2018, he shared a picture with his sister and Sohail’s wife Seema on her birthday.
Cornerstone is the same firm where Disha Salian was also working. She handled Sushant Singh Rajput’s account for some time and contacted him in May. The CBI is trying to find out if there is any link between Sushant Singh Rajput and Disha Salian’s deaths. Bunty Sajdeh will also be questioned regarding Disha Salian.
Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Bandra residence on June 14. Disha Salian died on the night of June 8, after falling off a high-rise building.
Disha’s post-mortem report had revealed that she had suffered head injuries and other multiple unnatural injuries. It was reported that Sushant Singh Rajput was disturbed after Disha’s death. The late actor’s friend and flatmate, Siddharth Pithani, also revealed in his statement to the investigation agencies that Sushant was ‘restless after he got to know about Disha’s death’.
“When Sushant got to know about Disha’s death, he got restless after that Sushant was speaking to Cornerstone manager Uday because Shruti Modi had an injury on her leg. That’s why for a few days Disha looked after Sushant’s work. News stating that Sushant’s manager committed suicide made Sushant restless,” Pithani had said.
However, the Mumbai Police had ruled out any link between Disha and Sushant’s deaths.
Disha Salian’s father, Satish Salian had also written a letter to the Mumbai Police about false reports regarding his daughter’s death being circulated.
The CBI took control of the investigation in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case on August 19, after the Supreme Court’s order. Before this, the case was investigated by the Mumbai Police as well as the Bihar Police.
The Enforcement Directorate is probing the money-laundering angle in the case while the Narcotics Control Bureau is investigating the drug angle. The NCB raided Rhea Chakraborty’s, as well as Samuel Miranda’s homes today (September 4).
