Hollywood actor Tom Hanks is undeniably one of the most talented and loved actors in the industry. He has also gained himself a reputation of being the ‘nicest guy in Hollywood’. In a throwback interview with a news portal, Tom Hanks opened up about his ‘Inferno’ co-star Irrfan Khan. Talking about him, Tom reportedly said that he has always thought of himself as the coolest guy in the room where everybody is hanging on to every word he is saying. He felt like people are intimidated by his presence. However, then, according to Hanks, Irrfan Khan walks into the room and then suddenly he is the coolest guy in the room and he hated that about the late Bollywood actor.
Not only this, he also confessed that he was mighty impressed with Irrfan’s style of acting in films. He reportedly said that once he walked up to him and told him that he is going to steal from him everything he possibly can. He will start speaking very quietly in films. He is going to wear very nice suits. And he will draw out the last sound of every sentence that I say. And by doing that, he will be doing a very pale imitation of the coolest guy in the room.
During ‘Inferno’, Irrfan Khan had shared a post on twitter which was a note from Tom Hanks to him. It read, ‘This will be most pleasant movie to make, I think, provided you and I have a few more scenes together! If not, we will just have to save the world as is’

In an earlier interview with IANS, Tom had opened up about his first brush with Bollywood. He said, “For a lot of years, Indian movies for us were Big B running around in his glasses and beating up bad guys or midgets and stuff like that. We didn’t quite understand what was going on. If everyone starts speaking the common language of cinema, it will start representing itself.”
