One picture can lead to so many speculations. Vivaan Bhatena who posted a light hearted picture with his friends, which also included TV actor Karan Singh Grover, at a Halloween party, became a victim of speculations. Bhatena posted a picture of him in a salt and pepper look along with Karan Singh Grover and with his caption being cryptic, rumours suggested that he’ll be the new Mr Bajaj in Ekta Kapoor’s reboot of Kasautii Zindagii Kay. Karan left the show mid-way in the month of October. And while many did say that Karan would return as Mr Bajaj, speculations were rife that Vivaan is the new Mr Bajaj, courtesy the picture.
However, Vivaan has now cleared the air. While talking to Bombay Times, Vivaan refuted the rumours of him doing the said character. “I had gone for Ayaz Khan’s Halloween party where I was spotted partying with Karan (Singh Grover) and Bipasha (Basu). I was dressed as Mr Bajaj and with my salt-and-pepper look, people perhaps thought I was replacing him. It is funny how people jump to conclusions. In fact, all of us friends have had a good laugh over it,” Vivaan said.
Coming to Karan when the actor exited the TV show, a source told Bombay Times, “No one knew about his exit till he informed the team on the last day of his shoot. The makers want to focus on Komolika and the Basu family in the show as of now. If the ratings don’t go up, there is a good chance that Mr Bajaj will be brought back.” Karan who returned to the small screen after six years with the reboot, denied the speculations that he was unhappy with his character. He said, “It’s not that at all. This is the way the story has been planned and written this time around. It’s a mutual decision. I had a lot of fun playing Bajaj.”
