Nagarjuna has drastically reduced the number of films he has done in the past few years. He was last seen in director Rahul Ravindran’s Manmadhudu 2, which was an average grosser at the box office. Even though he was offered a lot of films after Manmadhudu 2, he took his sweet time to finalise his next.
Going by the reports, the Officer actor has signed a film which will be directed by newcomer Solomon. In this untitled film, he will return to the silver screens as a police officer. The actor has played a cop several times in his career, but he believes that his character will be different in this venture.
In a report published by Deccan Chronicle, a source said, “Nag plays a cop who’s on a mission; it’s an intense role that has a lot to express through his eyes, body language and gestures rather than his physique.”
Reportedly, the makers of this film are taking more efforts to make the stunt sequences look real and mind-blowing. “The filmmakers are composing the action sequences in a unique manner, and have been in talks with Hollywood action choreographers,” said the source.
Apart from this film, he also has Bangarraju, which is a sequel to his hit film Soggade Chinni Nayana. This film, which is directed by Kalyan Krishna, will have Nagarjuna sharing screen space with his son Naga Chaitanya. Keerthy Suresh, Nadhiya, Naresh, Rajendra Prasad, Bhanushree Mehra and Kamal Kamaraju have been finalised to play prominent roles in the film.
