Parineeti Chopra is missing her Shuddh Desi Romance co-stars, Sushant Singh Rajput and Rishi Kapoor, on eight years of the release of the film. The actress shared a special video featuring Behind-The-Scene (BTS) clips from the sets of the Maneesh Sharma-directorial venture. Released in 2013, the film also starred Vaani Kapoor. Sushant and Rishi died in 2020.
Parineeti Chopra, who played the lead role in the 2013 film Shuddh Desi Romance, remembered her co-stars Sushant Singh Rajput and Rishi Kapoor on eight years of the release of the film. Sushant played the lead role opposite Parineeti in the Maneesh Sharma-directorial film. Rishi Kapoor played a pivotal role in the film. Sharing a BTS clip from the sets of the film, Parineeti wrote, “Miss you Sush. Miss you Rishi sir. Remembering you today.. (sic).”
Directed by Maneesh Sharma, Shuddh Desi Romance explores marriages and live-in relationships. The film features Parineeti Chopra, Sushant Singh Rajput and Vaani Kapoor in lead roles. Rishi Kapoor is also seen in a pivotal role. Sushant played the role of a tourist guide who gets cold feet before his arranged wedding to Tara (Vaani Kapoor). He falls in love with Gayatri (Parineeti) while debating the idea of marriage. The couple then explore the idea of a live-in relationship.
Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Mumbai home on June 14, 2020. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) are investigating the cases with the death, money laundering and drugs angles.
Rishi Kapoor, on the other hand, died of cancer on April 30, 2020. He had been battling cancer since 2018. He even went to New York for his treatment and returned after a year in 2019. However, his cancer relapsed and he breathed his last at HN Reliance Hospital in Mumbai.
