The shooting for the Rajinikanth-starrer Annaatthe began in December 2020 but when some of the crew members tested positive for coronavirus, shooting was halted. On April 8, Rajinikanth flew to Hyderabad to resume shooting for the film and soon after, it began in full swing.
In the post shared by the makers, Rajinikanth and director Siruthai Siva can be seen sharing a high-hearted, candid moment with each other with Rajinikanth laughing against the backdrop of the setting sun. The makers captioned the picture, “#Annaatthe from the shooting spot. @rajinikanth @directorsiva #Nayanthara @KeerthyOfficial @immancomposer (sic).”
Produced by Sun Pictures, the Tamil film features Khushbu, Meena, Prakash Raj and Soori in important roles. Shot by Vetri and edited by Ruben, the film’s music score is composed by the National-award winning music director D Imman. A rural entertainer, the film will release in theatres on November 4. Annaatthe will be Rajinikanth’s first release since Darbar, where he played the role of a cop.
