A few hours back, we told you that Shah Rukh Khan will be announcing a couple of his upcoming projects on his birthday, November 2. Post the subpar response to Zero, the actor has been on a prolonged sabbatical, making us all anxiously wait for a concrete update on his next film. Well, now it seems our wish is finally coming true as latest reports suggest that SRK will team up with blockbuster Tamil director Atlee, who has delivered money-spinners like Mersal and Theri. Work on the project should commence later this year in December, though we are awaiting official confirmation from the makers.
At a recent event, Shah Rukh Khan said, “I am thinking and taking some time. I am working on two or three scripts and, Inshallah, as soon as they are ready, I am ready. Because most of the people with whom I am working are busy so, Inshallah, I will announce it myself. I feel till the time rumors are floating around, it’s good, because some of them have given me ideas.”
Atlee is currently busy promoting his upcoming Diwali biggie, Bigil, with Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay. Made on a massive budget of Rs. 180 crore, it’s the second most expensive Kollywood film after the Rajinikanth-Akshay Kumar starrer, 2.0. The film is produced by Kalpathi S. Aghoram under the banner of AGS Entertainment and also stars Nayanthara, Yogi Babu, Vivek, and Jackie Shroff in key roles. It’ll clash with Vijay Sethupathi’s Sanga Thamizhan and Karthi’s Kaithi at ticket windows on October 25 during the festive weekend of Diwali. So, are you excited for this new collaboration between SRK and Atlee?
