Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s Dear Comrade released on July 26, 2019 and the two actors are celebrating the film, which clocked in two years today. Directed by Bharat Kamma, the film revolved around Bobby and Lilly, played by Vijay and Rashmika, respectively. The two actors in their Instagram posts shared how they gave their everything to the film that holds a special place in both their hearts.

Vijay Deverakonda, who is busy shooting for Liger, shared a post on Twitter on Monday (July 26) as Dear Comrade clocked in 2 years. The Geetha Govindam actor essayed the role of Bobby in the film, a man who stands up for what is right and is a fighter. On several occasions, Vijay has revealed how Dear Comrade will always be a special film for him, which celebrates the undying human spirit.

Sharing a video from the film, Vijay wrote, “We gave it our everything! @bharatkamma @iamRashmika @justin_tunes @sujithsarang #2YearsOfDearComrade Thank you Ram SS for bringing back those memories!

Rashmika Mandanna, who played a powerful character of a cricketer, Lilly in Dear Comrade, took to Instagram to celebrate two years since the film’s release. In the film, Lilly’s character goes through a transformation when she leaves cricket after facing harassment at the hands of her coach. How she rises up and exposes the culprit who destroyed her life and career with Bobby’s help forms the narrative of the story.

Sharing a similar video, Rashmika also wrote, “#2YearsOfDearComrade. We gave it our everything! #2YearsOfDearComrade @bharatkamma @thedeverakonda @sujithsarang @prabhakaranjustin (sic).”

Directed by Bharat Kamma, Dear Comrade released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam simultaneously. There were rumours that the rights of Dear Comrade had been bought by Karan Johar, but no official announcement has been made as of now. The film’s background score is composed by Justin Prabhakaran. Though the film garnered mixed reviews, the audience loved the heartwarming performances of Rashmika and Vijay in the lead roles.
